Founded in 1979 by Director, Kimberly Gavin Anderson, the Ballet Arts Center is devoted to excellence in dance education. We are inspired by the strength and structure of the classics; combined with the innovation of new dance styles and contemporary music.
At the Ballet Arts Center, we recognize that we are not just teaching dance, but that within the dance school environment, we are developing young personalities to be integrity driven, and encourage consideration of others and the group, rather than focusing on individuals in a "star" type system.
Young dancers enjoy the simple, organic joy of dance and music in their weekly classes. As dancers grow through the process, their training takes on a new level of importance in their life; not only as their dance technique is quantified, but the dancer develops skills of discipline, commitment, time management and personal growth which positively influences most other aspects of their lives.
Students from preschool through upper elementary grades are required to take ballet class for their dance foundation. From Kindergarten level and up, students may also study Jazz and Tap as well. Once in Middle School, dancers are encouraged to maintain their ballet classes, but may opt to study Jazz and/or Tap only.
